About the show

In one short week, the remarkable high school students in our Belfry 101 program create a performance based on their responses to themes and images from plays they’ve seen this year at the Belfry. Filtered through their own personal experiences and insights, the result is an original, surprising and always inspiring piece of theatre.
A talkback with the students will follow the performance.

This is what past participants of Belfry 101 have had to say about the programme.

Nothing I’ve ever done could parallel how fantastic it was to be in the Belfry 101 programme.  Nothing else could ever take its place in my opinion, or in my life.

I thought analyzing [the plays] would get extremely boring, but to my surprise it opened my eyes to so many different views that I never could have imagined or thought.

Keep it going!  This is an amazing program, and is one of the most important things the Belfry can do for youth and theatre.  Keeps us out of trouble and into art.
